RICHARD FINNEY

Richard Finney has Produced ten films and as a Screenwriter has worked with such filmmakers as Steven Spielberg, Mel Gibson, and George Clooney.

Mr. Finney is also the author of the novel “Demon Days” (finneyandsnell.com) and “The Wind Raider, the critically acclaimed graphic novel. Both books were published by Ape Entertainment.

The project Mr. Finney first produced was “100 Girls”, a Lion’s Gate release, starring Jonathan Tucker (“Texas Chainsaw Massacre”) Katherine Heigel (“Grey’s Anatomy”), and Jaime Pressley (“My Name is Earl”). “100 Girls” won the Best Picture award at the Variety Video Premiere Awards.

Other projects produced by Mr. Finney – “The Pact,” starring Megan Mullally (“Will and Grace”), and co-produced with Samuelson Productions (“Arlington Road,” “Wilde”) aired on Lifetime in 2002; “According to Spencer,” a romantic comedy (also released by Lion’s Gate) starring Jessie Bradford, Mia Kirshner (“The L word”), David Krumholtz (CBS series “Numbers”), Adam Goldberg (“Saving Private Ryan”) and Giovanni Ribisi (“Lost In Translation”); “Girl Fever” (a Lion’s Gate release), starring Jennifer Morrison (Fox TV series “House”).

Finney’s career as a screenwriter first began at Walt Disney Pictures working on the project that became the film “Robert Heinlein’s The Puppet Masters.” He quickly followed that assignment up with pitch sales to Touchstone and Mel Gibson’s Icon Productions. His biggest pitch sale was for the script “Alien Zoo” which he sold to Steven Spielberg for his company Dreamworks. Also as a screenwriter, Finney has teamed with Daniel Petrie Jr. (“Beverly Hills Cop”) on the production rewrite for the Columbia Pictures release “Maximum Risk,” starring Jean-Claude Van Damme.

JOHN THOMPSON

John Thompson is a producer based in Washington, DC. His most recent production was “Carver” directed by Franklin Guerrero Jr. “Carver,” the critically horror film was recently re-released on DVD by Phase 4 Entertainment and in 2009 was featured on Showtime and The Movie Channel.

In 2007 Mr. Thompson produced the drama “Lullaby” directed by the acclaimed director Darrell Roodt (“Cry, the Beloved Country;” “Sarafina” and the Oscar nominated “Yesterday”) and starring Melissa Leo, 2008 Maverick Award winner at the Methodfest where “Lullaby” was a featured selection.

Mr. Thompson also produced “The 8th Plague” a horror film shot in the D.C. area. The movie went on to win Best Picture at the 2006 Freaky Film awards and Best Cinematography at the Chicago Horror film Festival.

2008 will find Mr. Thompson producing three more films including “Ye Olde Times” starring Lindsay Lohan, Jack Black and Cary Elwes; and a prequel to “Carver” which will once again be written and directed by Franklin Guerrero, the evil genius behind the first production.

Mr. Thompson began his fourteen-year career in the film industry as a student at Herbert Bergoff Studio in New York and working as a SAG actor. He moved on to associate-produce a series of shorts that have won several awards and have screened at multiple domestic and international film festivals. John has also produced two other feature-length independent films, including the award-winning “MarylMary,” It was the Official Selection in 23 Film Festival and received 14 Awards.

PAT HOBBY

Pat Hobby started his career as a screenwriter but eventually moved over to acquisitions and development. He worked previously with Finney/Thompson Entertainment as a consultant on such productions as “Carver,” and “The 8th Plague,” and worked in development on such projects as “The Wind Raider,” “Demon Days,” and “Winter Dreams.” Mr. Hobby is based in Los Angeles.
