FINNEY / THOMPSON ENTERTAINMENT (FTE) was formed in 2005 when producers Richard Finney and John Thompson created a partnership to produce quality commercial movies. Separately and together they have worked on and/or produced two dozen movies in the last ten years. Their company was founded with the goal of developing their own material with screenwriters and directors; raising the financing for each picture; directly supervising each of the productions; and then delivering the final movie to distributors. It has been this quality control on FTE’s projects that have resulted in such award winning films as “Lullaby” directed by acclaimed director Darrell Roodt (Oscar nominated “Yesterday”); “Carver” the controversial horror film released by Phase 4 Films; and “The 8th Plague” winner of Best Picture and Best Cinematography at two separate film festivals.

In 2009 FTE began an association with “Lono Entertainment” (lonoentertainment.com), a full service domestic distribution company. Working with FTE, Lono Entertainment successfully launched its first nine titles including the awarding winning “Bane,” and the controversial documentary, “The Devil’s Music.” 2010 will find FTE and Lono Entertainment continuing to produce and distribute movies together.

The last 12 months has also seen FTE dip their toe in book publishing. December 1, 2009 saw the publication of “Demon Days” written by Richard Finney and D.L. Snell. The book’s trailer was produced by FTE and can be seen on youtube. The book’s authors have a website at finneyandsnell.com.

FTE’s first book was “The Wind Raider,” a graphic novel that has gone on to garner critical acclaim. For all news, updates, and the fullest scoop on the book and its creators, head on over to The Wind Raider Website.

FTE believes in working with fresh, original talent and encourages screenwriters, directors and producers to contact the company via email to present their projects or resumes.
